J246
This SAE Standard covers complete general and dimensional specifications for tube fittings of the spherical and flanged sleeve compression types for use in the piping of air brake systems on automotive vehicles. The spherical sleeve compression type Figures 1A to 5 and Tables 1 to 3 is intended for use with annealed copper alloy tubing per SAE J1149, Type 1. The flanged sleeve compression type Figures 6A to 11 and Tables 4 to 6 is intended for use with nylon tubing per SAE J844. It is not intended to restrict or preclude other designs of a tube fitting for use with SAE J844, air brake tubing. Performance requirements for SAE J844 are covered in SAE J1131. See SAE J1131 for the Performance Requirements of Reusable (Push to Connect) Fittings Intended for Use in Automotive Air Brake Systems.

J517_201710
This SAE Standard provides general, dimensional and performance specifications for the most common hoses used in hydraulic systems on mobile and stationary equipment. The general specifications contained in Sections 1 through 12 are applicable to all hydraulic hoses and supplement the detailed specifications for the 100R-series hoses contained in the later sections of this document (see Tables 1 and 2). This document shall be utilized as a procurement document only to the extent as agreed upon by the manufacturer and user. The maximum working pressure of a hose assembly comprising SAE J517 hose and hose connectors per SAE J516, SAE J518, SAE J1453, etc., shall not exceed the lower of the respective SAE maximum working pressure values. When using SAE J517 hose for marine applications, reference SAE J1475, SAE J1942, and SAE J1942-1. The SAE J517 100R9, 100R10, and 100R11 hoses are discontinued due to lack of demand. For DOD orders see Appendix C.

J2613_201710
This SAE Standard covers sub-critically annealed or normalized electric resistance welded flash controlled single-wall high strength steel tubing intended for use in hydraulic pressure lines and in other applications requiring tubing of a quality suitable for bending, double flaring, cold forming, welding and brazing. Material produced to this specification is not intended to be used for single flare applications due to the potential leak path caused by the ID weld bead. Nominal reference working pressures for this tubing are listed in ISO 10763 for metric tubing and SAE J1065 for inch tubing. This specification also covers SAE J2613 Type-A tubing. The mechanical properties and performance requirements of standard SAE J2613 and SAE J2613 Type-A are the same. The designated differences of Type-A tubing do not imply that Type-A tubing is in anyway inferior to standard SAE J2613.

AS1055E
This SAE Aerospace Standard (AS) establishes uniform requirements and procedures for the fire testing of flexible hose assemblies and rigid tube assemblies (including coiled tubes) to be used in aircraft or aerospace vehicle fluid systems. These procedures may also be followed for fire tests on other piping components as specified by the customer. It also refers to standard fire test equipment to be used in conducting "referee" fire tests.

J356
The SAE Standard covers normalized electric-resistance welded flash-controlled single-wall, low-carbon steel pressure tubing intended for use as pressure lines and in other applications requiring tubing of a quality suitable for bending, double flaring, beading, forming, and brazing. Material produced to this specification is not intended to be used for single flare applications due to the potential leak path that would be caused by the ID weld bead or scarfed region. Assumption of risks when using this material for single flare applications to be defined by agreement between the producer and tube purchaser. This specification also covers SAE J356 Type-A tubing. The mechanical properties and performance requirements of standard SAE J356 and SAE J356 Type-A are the same. Therefore, the designated differences of Type-A tubing are not meant to imply that Type-A tubing is in anyway inferior to standard SAE J356.

AS5958F
This SAE Aerospace Standard (AS) establishes the requirements for axially swaged titanium fittings on titanium, CRES, and aluminum tubing with flareless separable fitting ends for use in hydraulic supply and return aerospace fluid systems up to operating pressure of 5080 psig (35000 kPa) maximum. The operating temperature range for titanium tubing and CRES tubing is −65 to +275 °F (−54 to +135 °C) and the operating temperature range for aluminum return system tubing is −65 to +225 °F (−54 to +107 °C). This specification covers a common 5080 psi pressure titanium fitting that may be used for a range of operating pressures up to 5080 psi with different tubing materials and tubing wall thicknesses, and is assembled with the same tooling in accordance with AS5959. The flareless fitting operating pressure is based on the fitting thread pitch. Extra fine pitch is used for 5080 psi operating pressure and fine pitch for operating pressures 3000 psi and less.
