J516_201604
This SAE Standard provides general and dimensional specifications for the most common hose fittings used in conjunction with hydraulic hoses specified in SAE J517 and utilized in hydraulic systems on mobile and stationary equipment. The general specifications contained in Sections 1 through 15 are applicable to all hydraulic hose fittings and supplement the detailed specifications for the 100R-series fittings contained in the later sections of this document. This document shall be utilized as a procurement document only to the extent agreed upon by the manufacturer and user. Refer to SAE J517 for specifications of hose and information on hose assemblies. SAE J1273 contains information on application factors affecting hose fittings, hose, and hose assemblies. THE RATED WORKING PRESSURE OF A HOSE ASSEMBLY COMPRISING SAE J516 FITTINGS AND SAE J517 HOSE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE LOWER OF THE TWO WORKING PRESSURE RATED VALUES.

J1942/1_201512
Effective August 28, 1991, the SAE replaced the USCG as the listing agency for Marine Hose Assemblies. The previous USCG list was discontinued as of December 31, 1992, and is being replaced by this SAE listing, J1942-1. All products appearing on the USCG list as of December 31, 1992, may be carried over to the SAE J1942-1 provided they meet the new test requirements listed in SAE J1942. If your products comply, you may retain your listings with no additional testing. (Please note that the USCG has the authority to request and inspect your test results at their discretion). The following list consists of hose data provided as of December 2015, and is for convenience in determining acceptability of nonmetallic flexible hose assemblies intended for usage under 46 CFR 56.60-25. Where the maximum allowable working pressure (MAWP) or type of fitting is not specified, use the manufacturer's recommended MAWP or type of fitting.

This coding system is intended to provide a convenient means of identifying the various tube, pipe, hydraulic hose type and hose fittings, not intended for use in aircraft and of transmitting technical or engineering information relating to them wherever drawings or other pictorial media may not be readily available. The code has been kept flexible to permit expansion to cover new fitting categories or styles and, if the need develops, the inclusion of additional materials. The system is also compatible with automatic data processing equipment. It is not intended that this code should supersede established systems or means of identification. Therefore, it should be the prerogative of the user to apply the code which best satisfies his requirements.

J2050_201509
This SAE Standard covers two types of hose fabricated from textile reinforcement and synthetic rubber, assembled with end fittings for use in high-temperature automotive power steering applications as flexible connections within the temperature range of -40 to +150 °C (-40 to +302 °F) maximum and 10.3 MPa (1500 psi) maximum working pressure. These hoses are intended for use in applications where reduction in amplitude of pump pressure pulsation is required. Class A hose has a nominal OD of 19.84 mm (0.781 in). Class B hose is a lightweight hose with a nominal OD of 17.91 mm (0.705 in). This specification defines the minimum performance levels of a flexible connector in the hydraulic steering system to convey power steering fluid from the steering pump to the steering gear.

J2064_201508
The Scope of SAE J2064 covers coupled hose assemblies intended for containing and circulating lubricant, liquid and gaseous R134a and/or R-1234yf refrigerant in automotive air-conditioning systems. Historically, requirements for the hose used in coupled automotive refrigerant air conditioning assemblies was included in SAE J2064. SAE J2064 has been changed to establish the requirements for factory and field coupled hose assemblies. SAE J3062 has been issued to define requirements for the hose used in these assemblies into its own standard. SAE J2064 also provides the necessary values used in SAE J2727 Mobile Air Conditioning System Refrigerant Emission charts for R-134a and R-1234yf. The certified coupling of MAC hose assemblies is required in meeting certain regulatory requirements. A hose which has met the requirements of SAE J3062 and certified in J2911 must be used as part of the coupled assembly.

J3062_201506
The Scope of SAE J3062 covers hose intended for containing and circulating lubricant, liquid and gaseous R134a and/or R-1234yf refrigerant in automotive air-conditioning systems. The hose shall be designed to minimize permeation of the refrigerant, contamination of the system, and to be functional over a temperature range of -30 to 125 °C. Specific construction details are to be agreed upon between the user and supplier. Requirements for the hose used in coupled automotive refrigerant air-conditioning assemblies had been included in SAE J2064. SAE J3062 separates requirements for the hose used in these assemblies into its own standard. SAE J2064 also provides the necessary values used in SAE J2727 Mobile Air-Conditioning System Refrigerant Emission charts for R-134a and R-1234yf. Mobile air-conditioning system refrigerant emissions rates are established in SAE J2727 Emission charts and are important.
